5:28 pm - Drabble #40: Blackout!

Another blackout hits the 55!
How do our favorite emergency services officers deal with it?
Are they working?
Are they stuck at home?
Are they on vacation?

Use your creativity, but remember, it must be exactly 100 words - no more, no less.

Previous drabble challenges, as always, are open :) If you are looking for other topics, they are all posted here.

Happy Drabbling!

3:02 pm - *blows dust off group*

Sorry for how dormant this group has been -- I'm going to try to get back on the ball with posting the drabble topics here along with over on http://www.thirdwatch.net

Now that we're back in the "off season", I thought we'd give ourselves something else, on a much smaller scale, to look forward to on Fridays

This week's drabble is courtesy of mab8merlin. She posted this topic, and I thought it would be fun to see if we could use this in a drabble.

You must use the line: "And I thought romance was dead" in the drabble. The characters are your choice. The reasons and setting are also your choice.

Oh yeah -- and don't forget -- 100 words on the dot!

Happy Drabbling!

9:57 am - New Drabble: Seven Deadly Sins/Seven Deadly Virtues.

This topic was stolen from open_on_sunday, which is a Buffyverse drabble community:

Write a drabble based on the one of the seven deadly sins (pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth) or the seven virtues (which are faith, hope, charity/love, justice, prudence, fortitude and temperance).

100 words. No more. No less. Enjoy :)

4:43 pm - New Drabble: New Beginnings

It's the beginning of the new year, so it's time to talk about New Beginnings. It can be a blast into the past and talk about characters first meeting.. it can be resolving to start something over -- whatever your heart desires.

As always, previous weeks challenges are open.

Have fun, and happy drabbling! :)

This Week's Drabble Topic -- is Winter Holiday.
Write about one of the winter Holidays -- Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa.. whatever you'd like, pertaining to your favorite characters of the 55.

Remember -- 100 words on the nose.

FYI -- I've been posting these on http://www.thirdwatch.net -- and that's where most of the responses have been posted. I will try to remember to cross post on here as well from now on :)

2:05 am - Third Watch/Ally McBeal Drabble

...don't know how many will actually get this, but what the hell. ;)

What's the problem?" Kim asked, as she and Carlos walked into the small law office.

"I was trying out my latest invention, a breast messager... but now I can't get it to stop, and I'm afraid that they've just been rubbed raw! Can you..." turning towards Carlos, she licked her lips. ".. help me?"

Carlos' mouth dropped open, but Kim stepped forward. "I'll help you, ma'am. Show me an empty office? Carlos, wait here..."

Carlos pouted; Kim led her away. The woman looked towards Carlos again and flashed him a smile before disappearing.

Carlos grinned. He'd get her phone number yet.

1:56 am - Third Watch/Ed Crossover Drabble

"Stuckeybowl?" Ty gave Sully a skeptical look. "Why don't we find a gas station?"

"I'm sure someone here can give us directions."

"Alright. If you say so."

They had just entered the bowling alley when a tall man approached them. He proceeded to kneel down in front of Sully, then presented him with a ring box. "Will you marry me?"

Ty started laughing as Sully dropped the ring to the floor then turned and fled. He then followed his partner back outside.

"Ten bucks, Ed!" Mike held out his hand and Ed laughingly handed over the money for the bet.

1:24 am - Drabble 16 Challenge -- Crossover -- TW/ER

Word Count: Exactly 100
Crossover: Third Watch/ER

I didn't wanna come in, but Faith made me. So I was sulkin' when a doctor I didn't know entered. I'd only cut my hand. Jus' needed a band aid an' I'd be straight...

"Dr. Dave," said the man with a wide grin. "At your service. What's your ache, my friend?"

"Who the hell are you?"

"Transferred from County General in Chicago," he mentioned. "Oooh.. nasty one..."

"No need for the commentary," I muttered, as he cleaned the wound.

I shut my eyes, an' I let the doctor do his work. If he hurt me, I was gonna slug him.
